Yes, music fans, there is a Santa Claus.
His Royal Purpleness, none other than Prince, is making his first visit to Edmonton in nine years.
He’ll funk up our lives on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Rexall Place as part of his 10-city Welcome 2 Canada tour, which kicks off with two nights at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Nov. 25 and 26.
Ticket prices have yet to be announced, but they’ll be available through Ticketmaster and liveation. com as of Friday, Nov. 4.
Prince, who is responsible for such hits as Purple Rain, Let’s Go Crazy and Raspberry Beret, made his last stop at the Jubilee Auditorium in 2002.
His latest (and 35th!) album, 20Ten, was released in 2010.
